πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ Yoga (& More) in the Park ~ Summer in Douglas County

Grab your water bottle, sunscreen, and yoga mat or beach towel for fitness in the park!

By Kyrie Collins, Macaroni KID Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock-Lone Tree Publisher April 28, 2024

Local yoga and fitness instructors offer a variety of programs in the park during the summer months.

It doesn't matter if you think "down dog" is what you say to your family pet when he's begging for treats at the dinner table or if you have mastered the full lotus. Just grab your water bottle, sunscreen, and a yoga mat or beach towel, and head to the one that works in your schedule.

Programs are free unless otherwise noted.

CASTLE ROCK – YOGA IN PHILIP S. MILLER PARK
Practicing outdoors adds a different dimension to one's yoga practice. Yoga means "union," and when practiced outside, you can experience union with nature, humanity, and the universe. Being outside deepens the yoga experience in many ways and helps focus awareness, breathe deeply, and practice stillness.

CASTLE ROCK – YOGA IN FESTIVAL PARK
Start your week off right and find a deeper meaning to your yoga workout with a session in Festival Park. Bring your yoga mat and other supplies as needed.

HIGHLANDS RANCH – YOGA IN THE PARK
This popular program draws a crowd each summer. Yoga in the Park is geared toward the beginner yogi, but modifications will be offered to make each exercise more intense.

Participants should arrive a few minutes early to complete a waiver form (minors require a parent's or guardian's signature). Please bring a yoga mat, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

LONE TREE – SUNSET YOGA
It's time again for sunset salutations. Join RidgeGate, South Suburban Parks and Recreation, and the Lone Tree Recreation Center for a free Sunset Yoga class. No yoga experience is necessary.
